This part of the side bar allows you to use the scanner to manually scan tickets and badges.  Only admins who have full system access or have been given the scanner as one of their permissions will be able to use this feature.


Any device which has a camera will be able to scan badges and tickets using the scanner.  To scan a badge or ticket the QR code needs to be held under the camera’s view, within the correct area.  If the badge or ticket QR code has successfully scanned a message will appear to signify the success.  Sometime the scan will be unsuccessful and an error message will appear - it might be that the ticket QR code is not for the correct day, an exit code is being scanned when that volunteer/attendee has not been signed in to the event that day, or that the QR code is not for the current event.


If for any reason the QR code will not scan, maybe it has become illegible, you can manually enter the badge or ticket code in the box below the scanner. 


If a volunteer or attendee does not have their ticket or badge with them to scan an admin with attendee/volunteer permissions will be able to go into the volunteer/attendee’s application and manually enter their entrance or exit in the attendance tab.
