Declining Volunteers

There may be some instances where you feel that a volunteer is unsuitable to help at your event.  If this is the case, a note should be added into the ‘team notes’ box which can be found in every tab

This allows you to add a reason as to why you have declined this volunteer.  This information is specific to your organisation and will not be shared with any other organisations but it will transfer to other events within your organisation.  It is a good idea to write a reason, especially if it is for a safeguarding issue, as it will allow future admins to see that this volunteer has been deemed unsuitable in the past.  This information can be reviewed at each subsequent event the volunteer registers to help at.

Once you have written a reason for declining the volunteer. You will need to press the decline button in the banner at the top of the volunteer information tab.  A confirmation message will appear

This volunteer will now no longer show within the dashboard numbers or in the volunteer area.  You can still view the application by searching for the volunteer in the search bar at the top of the page.  It is possible to reset the application status to pending by using the reset button in the banner at the top of the application.
