Manually entering DBS details

In some instances a volunteer may not provide details of a valid DBS check during registration, but you later find out that they have a DBS check which would be accepted by your organisation.  The details of this certificate can be manually added to the volunteer application.


Remember that before you add the details of the certificate you (or someone within your organisation) should have seen the physical certificate to check that it meets your requirements and contains no information and the volunteer should have presented one piece of photo ID to show that they are the person named on the certificate.


To add the details you will need to go to the volunteer’s DBS check area.  This can either be accessed through the DBS checks area on the dashboard or can be accessed by clicking on ‘manage’ in the volunteer’s application.



Once you have opened the volunteer’s DBS check area you will then be able to create a new entry.


You will then need to input the following information;
