Automated Emails for References

Once the volunteer has submitted their application SignMeUp will automatically contact all of the listed referees.


After one week, if the referee has yet to provide a reference they will be sent a reminder email, giving details of the reference they have been asked to provide.


After a further week has passed, if the referee has still not responded they will be sent a final reminder email.


If the referee still does not provide a reference, a week after the final reminder email the system will set the reference to ‘failed’ on the volunteer’s application form.  No further emails will be sent to the referee but the volunteer will receive an email telling that their referee has failed to provide a reference.  They will be prompted to contact your organisation to provide details of a new referee.
