You might want to allow you volunteers and/or attendees the option to select the specific sessions they wish to help in/attend. If this is the case, you can use the session selector. If no options for the session selector are set up then it will not be displayed in the registration forms.
Volunteers
To set up volunteer sessions you need to create each session you have available in turn and add them. You only need to create a template for each of the days of your event.
For example, if you are a week long event and the day is split into a morning and afternoon session you would only need to create two sessions - ‘morning’ and ‘afternoon’. You would not need to create Monday morning, Monday afternoon, Tuesday morning, Tuesday afternoon and so on. It would then display in the registration form like this:
If your event runs for longer than a week then the days are removed and replaced with dates.
If your event runs for a six week block, but only on a Friday and volunteers can offer certain dates, you might want to set up ‘all day’ and then the session selector shown in the registration form would show all the dates the event is running with the option to pick certain ones. It would then display in the registration form like this:
Attendees
To use the attendee session selector you will need to check this box:
If this box has been checked then the attendee session selector will be displayed. You need to create each session you have available in turn and add them. You only need to create a template for each of the days of your event.
So for example, if your event runs for a week and you would like the attendees to select the days they would like to attend, create an ‘all day’ session and they will then be able to pick the days they wish to attend in the registration form. It would then display in the registration form like this:
If your event runs for a six week block, but only on a Friday and attendees can pick certain dates to attend, you might want to set up ‘all day’ and then the session selector shown in the registration form would show all the dates the event is running with the option to pick certain ones. It would then display in the registration form like this:
